The Chinese Consulate is requiring me to make a personal appearance, what does this mean?

The Chinese consulate has stated that in order for them to issue a visa they will require you to make a personal appearance for finger printing.

What next?

The consulate will issue a receipt with your appointment details to our Consulate Liaison. We will scan and email this receipt to you.

Upon receiving our email, you must print out the receipt and bring it with you to your appointment at the consulate. The Consulate will not see you without this slip.

Once your appointment is complete, the consular will tell you when the visa will be completed. Please call or email this date to us and we will have our courier pick it up for you.

The China Consulate in San Francisco is located at:

1450 Laguna St.
San Francisco, CA 94115
Hours: 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
