Do I need a passport to travel to Canada?

Entry into Canada: Canadian law requires that all persons entering Canada carry both proof of citizenship and proof of identity.

The Canadian government requires U.S. citizens to have a valid passport to fly to or transit through a Canadian airport.

If traveling by land, or by sea: a valid U.S passport, or a passport card is required.
