India Visa- Applying for a Visa With a Hyphenated Name

Follow

My Surname (Last Name) is hyphenated in my current passport. When I enter my Surname as it appears in my passport on the India Govt Visa Application website the website does not allow for hyphens, only alphabet letters or spaces. Which do I use?

OVERVIEW:

Many online webforms allow for only certain keyboard special characters to be entered into a field. Others will not accept any at all!

In this instance you would simply enter a space between the two parts of the hyphenated name, into the "Surname" field, rather than creating one long Surname.
