When applying for a visa to Russia, is it mandatory to submit the actual passport for visa processing?

Yes, You must submit your original valid, undamaged passport for visa processing.

Your passport must:

  • be signed
  • be valid for six months beyond intended stay
  • have two blank visa pages not counting the amendment pages in the back of the passport.
